The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has left her position as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This follows a legal ruling that questioned her eligibility to hold the office.
Official Departure
The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, confirmed the prosecutor's departure on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the judicial decision made it unworkable for Habba to effectively run her office.
"But do not mistake following the order as giving up," she declared. "The effort will now extend throughout the country."
Judicial Challenge
Habba's exit was triggered by a US appeals court determined that she had been acting without proper authority as the top prosecutor. This decision is could influence numerous legal proceedings in the Garden State.
